Tom Hiddleston, whose full name is Thomas William Hiddleston, was born on February 9, 1981, in Westminster, London, England. His mother is Diana Patricia Hiddleston and his father is James Norman Hiddleston. His parents divorced when he was thirteen years old. He has one younger sister named Emma Hiddleston and an older sister named Sarah Hiddleston. He was educated at the Dragon School in Oxford and later attended Eton College. He continued his higher education at University of Cambridge and graduated in 2005 from the acting department of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

In 2011, Tom Hiddleston gained international recognition by portraying Loki in Thor, where he starred alongside Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, and Stellan Skarsgård.
