Jeremy Renner was born on January 7, 1971, in Modesto, California, United States, as the son of Valerie and Lee Renner. His full name is Jeremy Lee Renner, and he has four siblings. After graduating from Beyer High School, he attended Modesto Junior College. He later received theater training at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. Following this period, he moved to Hawaii, and in 1993 he relocated again, this time to Los Angeles.

Jeremy Renner's first film role came with Senior Trip (1995), a National Lampoon production. His breakthrough performance arrived in 2002 with the film Dahmer, in which he portrayed serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. This role earned him a nomination for Best Actor at the Palm Beach International Film Festival. In addition to acting, Jeremy Renner is also a musician and songwriter.

In 2010, Jeremy Renner received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Town. Following this success, he joined the casts of several high-grossing films worldwide, including Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011) and The Avengers (2012).
