Chris Evans, whose full name is Christopher Robert Evans, was born on June 13, 1981, in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. His mother, Lisa Evans, is a director, and his father, Robert Evans, is a dentist. He has three siblings named Scott Evans, Carly Evans, and Shana Evans. During his early education, he studied at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School after his family moved there. Later, he relocated to New York, where he attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute to pursue acting.

Chris Evans gained his first major acting role in 2001 with the film Not Another Teen Movie, in which he portrayed the character Jake Wyler. He became widely recognized after appearing in the Fantastic Four film series released in 2005 and further rose to international fame with the 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger.

Chris Evans signed a contract with Marvel that covered six films. The first of these was Captain America: The First Avenger, followed by The Avengers. This was succeeded by Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Captain America: Civil War. According to Evans, the final film under this contract was planned to be Avengers 3, with all filming expected to be completed around 2017.

Between 2004 and 2006, Chris Evans was in a relationship with actress Jessica Biel. In addition to his acting career, he worked as a model for the luxury brand Gucci. He became the face of Gucci’s Guilty Intense perfume.

Chris Evans married actress Alba Baptista on September 9, 2023.
