Erling Haaland is a Norwegian international footballer who plays as a centre-forward. Renowned for his physical strength, speed, and prolific goal-scoring ability, he is considered one of the most dominant strikers of modern football.

Erling Haaland was born on July 21, 2000, in Leeds, England, as the son of Alf-Inge Håland and Gry Marita Braut. He is of Norwegian origin, and his full name is Erling Braut Håland. At the age of three, he moved with his family to the Norwegian city of Bryne. Because his father was playing for Leeds United at the time of his birth, Haaland also holds a British passport; however, he chose to represent the Norway national team.

Erling Haaland began playing football at the age of five in Bryne, Norway. During the 2015–2016 seasons, he played for the reserve team Bryne 2, where he delivered an impressive performance by scoring 18 goals in 14 matches.

In 2016, Erling Haaland transferred to Molde, where he spent two years developing his professional career. In 2019, he moved to Austrian Bundesliga club Red Bull Salzburg. Standing 194 centimeters tall and weighing 88 kilograms, Erling Haaland plays for Manchester City. He scored 14 goals in his first 10 matches for the club and became the first player in Premier League history to score in his first four away matches.
