Gal Gadot rose to international recognition for her portrayal of Gisele Yashar in the Fast & Furious film series.



Gal Gadot was born on April 30, 1985, in Rosh HaAyin, Israel. Her maternal grandparents survived the Holocaust, and her ancestors are Jewish immigrants from Europe. At the age of 19, she served for two years as a soldier in the Israeli Defense Forces.

She began her modeling career in 2008, becoming one of the leading models for Israel’s largest clothing brand Castro. She also appeared in international campaigns for Captain Morgan, Vine Vera, and Jaguar. Gal Gadot was featured as a cover model in magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Bride Magazine, and FHM. In 2004, she was crowned Miss Israel and represented Israel at the Miss Universe competition the same year.

After becoming one of the most admired and highest-paid models in Israel—second only to Bar RefaeliGal Gadot enrolled in university to study law. During this period, she was invited to audition for the role of Bond girl Camille Montes in Quantum of Solace. Although the role went to Olga Kurylenko, the casting director later selected her for Fast & Furious 4.

In 2009, Gal Gadot portrayed Gisele Harabo in Fast & Furious 4, starring alongside Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, and Laz Alonso. She continued to appear in subsequent installments of the franchise.

In 2012, she ranked fifth on Shalom Life’s list of the “50 Most Talented and Beautiful Jewish Women in the World,” following model Bar Refaeli and actress Eva Green.

Gal Gadot is a dedicated martial arts enthusiast, holding black belts in both karate and Krav Maga. During her service in the Israeli Defense Forces, she worked as a combat trainer and instructor. Her extensive martial arts background played a significant role in securing her casting as Wonder Woman.

She married Israeli businessman Yaron Varsano on September 28, 2008. The couple has four daughters: Alma (born November 2011), Maya (born April 2017), Daniela (born 2021), and another daughter born in 2024.

Gal Gadot and her husband previously owned a boutique hotel in Tel Aviv, which they sold in 2015 for 26 million dollars to Roman Abramovich.

In 2016, she starred in Criminal alongside Kevin Costner, Gary Oldman, and Tommy Lee Jones. The same year, she appeared in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice with Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, and Jason Momoa.
