Oscar Isaac is a Guatemalan-born American actor and musician who gained widespread recognition in 2013 with his leading role in the film Inside Llewyn Davis, also known as Sen Şarkılarını Söyle.

Oscar Isaac, whose full name is Óscar Isaac Hernández Estrada, was born on March 9, 1979, in Guatemala. His mother, Maria Hernández, is Guatemalan, and his father, Oscar Gonzalo Hernández-Cano, is Cuban. He has one sister. When he was five months old, his family immigrated to the United States, and he was raised in Miami, Florida. In 2005, he graduated from the Juilliard School, one of the most prestigious performing arts institutions in the United States.

Having played the guitar since the age of twelve, Oscar Isaac developed a strong musical background long before his rise in cinema. During his high school years, he was the lead singer of a punk band and later performed with the band Yavru Köstebek. In Miami, he also provided vocals for the group The Blinking Underdogs.

His acting journey began with the Miami Beach-based Area Stage Company, followed by performances at City Theater’s Summer Shorts short play festival between 2000 and 2001. These early stage experiences laid the foundation for his transition into film acting.

Oscar Isaac achieved critical acclaim in 2013 when he starred as Llewyn Davis in the Coen Brothers’ film Inside Llewyn Davis. In addition to his acting performance, he also sang five songs featured in the film, further showcasing his musical talent.

In 2016, Oscar Isaac played the powerful mutant En Sabah Nur, also known as Apocalypse, in X-Men: Apocalypse, directed by Bryan Singer. In the same film, he starred alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Sophie Turner, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Hugh Jackman, Olivia Munn, and Rose Byrne.

He continued to expand his filmography with notable roles in films such as Ex Machina, A Most Violent Year, Annihilation, Operation Finale, and Dune. In 2018, he also appeared in Annihilation / Yok Oluş, sharing the screen with Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tessa Thompson, Gina Rodriguez, and Tuva Novotny.

Since 2012, Oscar Isaac has been in a relationship with Danish director Elvira Lind, and the couple welcomed their first child in 2017.
