Her father, Clinton Pugh, is a restaurateur, while her mother, Deborah Mackin, is a dancer and dance instructor. She has one brother, Toby Sebastian, and two sisters, Arabella Gibbins and Rafaela "Raffie" Pugh. During her early childhood, Florence Pugh suffered from tracheomalacia, which led to frequent hospitalizations. When she was three years old, her family moved to Sotogrande, Spain, hoping that the warmer climate would improve her health. She lived there until the age of six before returning to Oxford. She received a private education at Wychwood School and St Edward's School.
