Official Trailer
Plot Summary
The Girl on the Train follows Rachel, a troubled woman whose daily routine consists of taking the same train and observing a seemingly perfect couple from afar. Projecting her own lost happiness onto their lives, Rachel becomes emotionally invested in what she believes is an ideal relationship, using these moments as an escape from her personal failures and loneliness.
When shocking events involving the couple suddenly dominate national headlines, Rachel finds herself unable to remain a passive observer. Drawn into their lives, she becomes entangled in a dark mystery that blurs the line between witness and participant. As her fragmented memories and unreliable perceptions surface, Rachel must confront unsettling truths about herself and the people she thought she understood.
Adapted from the bestselling novel by Paula Hawkins, which spent weeks at number one on the New York Times Best Sellers list, The Girl on the Train is a psychological thriller that explores obsession, memory, and the dangerous consequences of watching lives from a distance.
