Hayden Christensen is a Canadian actor who was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for his performance in Life as a House. He achieved international fame by portraying Anakin Skywalker in the new trilogy of the Star Wars series. Following the release of these films, Christensen was named one of the “25 Sexiest Actors Under 25” by Teen People magazine.

Hayden Christensen was born on March 19, 1981, in Vancouver, Canada, as the third child of Alie and David Christensen. He was educated at E.J. Sand Public School, Baythorn Public School, and Unionville High School. During his high school years, he was an athletic teenager who played hockey and tennis, and he spent his summer holidays studying drama at the Actors Studio in New York. His acting career began after he was discovered during a commercial audition he attended with his sister.

Christensen made his first acting appearance at the age of twelve in the television series Family Passions. One year later, he appeared in a supporting role in legendary director John Carpenter’s horror film In the Mouth of Madness. Hayden Christensen met actress Rachel Bilson on the set of Jumper in 2007. The couple became engaged in November 2008. Their daughter, Briar Rose Christensen, was born in October 2014. Christensen and Bilson separated in September 2017.
