Plot Summary

Shoot ’Em Up follows Smith (Clive Owen), an extremely aggressive and violence-prone drifter who lives by instinct and brute force. His brutal routine is unexpectedly disrupted when he stumbles into a violent confrontation involving a pregnant woman and a newborn baby—an encounter that forces him to act against his own nature.

After managing to save the baby and help the mother, Smith suddenly finds himself hunted by an army of professional assassins determined to kill the child at all costs. With bullets flying nonstop, Smith is thrust into a relentless fight for survival, protecting the infant while cutting through waves of merciless hitmen.

As the body count rises, Smith teams up with Donna Quintano (Monica Bellucci), a lactating prostitute who becomes an unlikely ally in keeping the baby alive. Together, they navigate a world ruled by corruption, shadowy power structures, and hired killers who seem to know far more about the child than they should.

While eliminating threats with outrageous, stylized action sequences, Smith also begins to uncover the dark secret behind the assassination plot.
