Plot Summary

Going in Style follows three lifelong friends who, now well into their eighties, find themselves pushed to the edge by a system that no longer seems to care about them.

Willie (Morgan Freeman), Joe (Michael Caine), and Albert (Alan Arkin) are retired men trying to survive on shrinking pensions and limited social benefits. Their modest routines and quiet lives are shattered when their retirement payments are abruptly cut, leaving them with little hope and mounting financial pressure.

Faced with the prospect of losing everything they depend on, the trio makes a radical and unexpected decision: to rob the very bank responsible for their hardship. Their goal is not greed, but justice—taking back only what they believe is rightfully theirs.
