Big Nothing (2006)
Official Trailer
Plot Summary
Big Nothing follows Charlie Wood (David Schwimmer), a disillusioned and unemployed former teacher who feels betrayed by both his career and life itself. Struggling to find purpose, Charlie becomes entangled in a reckless blackmail scheme that promises quick revenge against a world he believes has wronged him.
He is soon joined by the wildly unpredictable Gus Dickinson (Simon Pegg), whose erratic behavior and questionable logic push every situation further toward chaos. Completing the trio is Josie McBroom (Alice Eve), a once-celebrated beauty now reinventing herself as a sharp-minded con artist with her own hidden agenda.
As their amateur blackmail plot spirals out of control, the trio finds themselves caught in a web of crime, betrayal, and escalating absurdity. With each poor decision compounding the last, what begins as a simple scheme transforms into a darkly comic descent where survival depends on wit, luck, and the ability to outmaneuver one another.
Balancing sharp dialogue with escalating tension, Big Nothing delivers a fast-paced crime comedy that thrives on irony, moral ambiguity, and the unpredictable chemistry of its unlikely antiheroes.
