Official Trailer

Plot Summary

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker serves as the epic conclusion to the Skywalker saga, bringing decades of conflict, legacy, and destiny to a dramatic close. Following the events set in motion after Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, the galaxy once again stands on the edge of collapse as the battle between darkness and light reaches its final chapter.

After killing Supreme Leader Snoke, Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) rises as the new Supreme Leader of the First Order. Under his ruthless rule, fear spreads across the galaxy, pushing countless systems into despair. Determined to maintain his grip on power, Kylo Ren becomes increasingly merciless, while internal unrest begins to surface within the First Order itself.

In the aftermath of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) becoming one with the Force, Rey (Daisy Ridley) fully embraces her inner strength. Freeing herself from the emotional ties that once held her back, she commits to mastering the Force and confronting her destiny. As the bond between Rey and Kylo Ren deepens and their conflict intensifies, the line between light and darkness grows ever more fragile.

Meanwhile, the Resistance struggles to survive and expand. Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) and Finn (John Boyega) work tirelessly to unite scattered allies and inspire hope in a galaxy overwhelmed by tyranny. The re-emergence of the Knights of Ren and the escalating clash between opposing forces push the conflict toward a decisive and irreversible confrontation.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker delivers a grand finale defined by sacrifice, redemption, and the enduring power of legacy. As the fate of the galaxy hangs in the balance, the final battle reshapes everything that came before, closing one era while echoing the timeless struggle between darkness and light.
