Spy (2015)
Official Trailer
Plot Summary
Susan Cooper (Melissa McCarthy) is a modest, desk-bound CIA analyst who operates behind the scenes, quietly ensuring the success of the agency’s most dangerous missions. Though her name never appears in reports or headlines, Susan is an essential, unsung hero within the intelligence community.
She forms a highly effective partnership with field agent Bradley Fine (Jude Law), supporting him remotely with precision and expertise. However, during a critical operation, both Fine and another elite operative, Rick Ford (Jason Statham), have their identities exposed, rendering them useless in the field.
With no other viable options, the CIA turns to the least expected candidate. Susan Cooper is sent undercover to infiltrate the world of a deadly international arms dealer, whose network threatens to unleash global catastrophe. For the first time in her career, Susan leaves her desk and steps directly into the field, facing dangers she has only ever navigated from afar.
As the mission escalates, Susan begins to uncover hidden strengths and instincts she never knew she possessed. Balancing sharp wit with high-stakes espionage, Spy subverts traditional spy-film conventions, delivering an action-packed comedy that proves heroism can come from the most unlikely places.
