Story Overview

After years of living on the edge of the law, the crew has finally chosen a quieter life away from crime. Dom (Vin Diesel) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) get married and head off on their honeymoon, believing that the chaos of their past is finally behind them.

That peace is short-lived when Dom is unexpectedly forced back into the criminal underworld. Manipulated by the mysterious and ruthless cyberterrorist Cipher (Charlize Theron), Dom betrays everything he once stood for, turning against his own family. As the team struggles to understand his actions, they must confront a threat more personal and dangerous than ever before.

Led by Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and joined by familiar allies, the crew races across the globe—from New York to Cuba and the Arctic—in a desperate attempt to stop Cipher’s plan and bring Dom back before the world is pushed into irreversible chaos. Themes of loyalty, family, and betrayal take center stage as trust is tested to its limits.

The Fate of the Furious is the eighth installment in the blockbuster Fast & Furious franchise and marks the second film in the series following The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift in which Paul Walker does not appear.
