Plot Summary

Danny Collins follows the late-life awakening of a once-famous rock musician who confronts the legacy of his own excesses.

Danny Collins is a talented rock star who rose to fame in the 1970s, living a wild and indulgent life fueled by success, money, and adoration. Having fully embraced everything fame had to offer, Danny now finds himself far removed from those glamorous days, trapped in routine performances and emotional stagnation.

Everything changes when Danny receives a letter written to him forty years earlier by John Lennon. The message, filled with wisdom and encouragement, pushes him to reassess the life he chose and the artist he never fully became.
