Glen Powell was born on October 21, 1988, in Austin, Texas, United States. His full name is Glen Thomas Powell Jr. He is the son of Glen Powell and Cindy Powell. Born and raised in Texas, he graduated from Westwood High School in Austin, where he played football and lacrosse during his high school years. He later completed his university education at the University of Texas, majoring in Radio, Television, and Film.

Glen Powell began his acting career at the age of 13 when he appeared alongside Antonio Banderas and Sylvester Stallone in the film Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over. During this early period, Stallone advised him on physical training, prompting Powell to focus on developing his arm and trapezius muscles, an effort that later contributed to his on-screen presence.

In 2007, prior to his first year at university, Glen Powell appeared in The Great Debaters, directed by and starring Denzel Washington. This role marked an important step in his transition from child actor to serious dramatic performer.

In 2016, Glen Powell gained wider recognition with his role in the acclaimed historical drama Hidden Figures. His career continued to gain momentum as he became known for portraying confident, charismatic, and physically demanding characters.
