Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
Official Trailer
Plot Summary
Thor: Love and Thunder follows Thor, portrayed by Chris Hemsworth, as he embarks on a journey unlike any he has ever taken before—not one of battle or conquest, but a deeply personal quest for inner peace. After years defined by loss, responsibility, and endless warfare, Thor attempts to leave behind his heroic life and seek a quieter existence.
This fragile calm is shattered by the emergence of Gorr the God Butcher, played by Christian Bale, a ruthless and vengeful figure driven by a single purpose: the extinction of the gods. As Gorr’s crusade grows more destructive, Thor is forced back into action to confront a threat that challenges not only his strength, but also his beliefs.
In this perilous mission, Thor reunites with familiar allies, including King Valkyrie, Korg, and his former love Jane Foster, portrayed by Natalie Portman. Together, they race against time to stop Gorr before his dark ambition is fulfilled, leading them into a cosmic adventure that blends epic action with emotional reckoning.
Balancing grand spectacle with introspective themes, the film explores identity, loss, love, and what it truly means to be a god in a universe filled with suffering and hope.
