Plot Summary

Evan Almighty is a fantasy comedy that expands the divine satire introduced in Bruce Almighty, placing faith, responsibility, and environmental awareness at the center of a modern biblical reimagining.

God (Morgan Freeman) appears unexpectedly to Evan Baxter (Steve Carell), a newly elected U.S. congressman whose life seems perfectly aligned with success and ambition. In a calm yet commanding tone, God delivers an impossible mission: Evan must build a modern-day version of Noah’s Ark.
