Story Overview

Derailed follows advertising executive Charles Schine (Clive Owen), a disciplined suburban commuter living in Chicago, whose life revolves around routine, responsibility, and restraint. Every morning, he relies on the same train to take him to work—until one missed ride alters the trajectory of his existence.

On that fateful morning, Charles meets Lucinda Harris (Jennifer Aniston), an alluring and emotionally distant woman whose charm masks her own quiet dissatisfaction.
