Alexandra Daddario was born on March 16, 1986, in New York City, United States, into a family of lawyers. Her full name is Alexandra Anna Daddario. Her father, Richard C. Daddario, and her mother, Christina Daddario, raised her together with her siblings Matthew Daddario and Catharine Daddario. She studied at Marymount Manhattan College.

Alexandra Daddario began her acting career at the age of 16 in 2002, portraying the character Laurie Lewis in the television series All My Children. The series aired between 1970 and 2013, making it one of the longest-running television shows in American history with a total run of 43 years.

In 2005, Alexandra Daddario appeared in the feature film The Squid and the Whale, where she worked alongside Jesse Eisenberg, Jeff Daniels, William Baldwin, and Laura Linney. This role helped her gain recognition in independent cinema.

She continued to rise in prominence with her role in the fantasy sequel Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters in 2013, reprising the character of Annabeth Chase. In 2017, Alexandra Daddario starred in the action-comedy film Baywatch, sharing the screen with Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Priyanka Chopra, and Kelly Rohrbach.
