Plot Summary

Directed by Bryan Singer, X-Men: Apocalypse arrives after the critical success of X-Men: Days of Future Past, expanding the Marvel X-Men universe with its most ancient and formidable antagonist. Since the dawn of civilization, Apocalypse has been worshipped as a god. As the first and most powerful mutant, he has accumulated the abilities of countless others, rendering himself virtually immortal and invincible.

When Apocalypse awakens after thousands of years of slumber, the modern world he encounters fills him with profound disappointment. Believing humanity to be flawed and unworthy, he sets out to reshape the planet in his own image. To achieve this, he assembles a team of powerful mutants, including Magneto (Michael Fassbender), whose combined purpose is to eradicate mankind and prepare a new world where Apocalypse can reign supreme.
