Story Overview

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is set in the 28th century, where space-time agents Valerian and Laureline serve as operatives responsible for maintaining order across human territories. Acting under direct orders from the Ministry of Defense, the duo is assigned to a critical mission in Alpha, a breathtaking metropolis that has evolved over centuries as a meeting point for thousands of species from across the universe.

Alpha is a living archive of shared knowledge, culture, and experience, but beneath its harmonious surface lies a dangerous secret. A dark and destabilizing force is growing at the city’s core, threatening not only Alpha itself but also the fragile balance of the entire universe. As this unknown power begins to awaken, Valerian and Laureline find themselves racing against time to uncover the truth.
