The World's Fastest Indian (2006)
Official Trailer
Plot Summary
The World’s Fastest Indian is based on the inspiring true story of Burt Munro (Anthony Hopkins), a man who never abandons the dreams of his youth and continues to fight for them well into old age.
Throughout his life, Burt obsessively modifies his beloved 1920 Indian Scout motorcycle, refining it piece by piece with limited resources and boundless determination. When the time finally comes, he embarks on a journey from the farthest corners of the world to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, driven by a single goal: to test both himself and his machine against the limits of speed.
Dismissed by skeptics, discouraged by a lack of funding, and competing against modern, custom-built racing bikes, Burt defies every expectation. With a motorcycle over forty years old and a body well into his sixties, he achieves a world speed record in his class, proving that perseverance and belief can triumph over time, technology, and doubt.
The film stands as a heartfelt celebration of human spirit, resilience, and the quiet heroism of chasing a dream no matter the odds, turning an ordinary life into an extraordinary legend.
