Plot Summary

The Rewrite centers on Keith Michaels, once a celebrated and award-winning screenwriter whose career and personal life have steadily unraveled over the past fifteen years. Recently divorced and approaching his fifties, Keith finds himself creatively stalled and financially strained, unable to produce a successful screenplay since his early acclaim.

In search of stability, he reluctantly accepts a position teaching screenwriting at a university in New York. While attempting to fulfill his academic responsibilities, Keith also struggles to rediscover his lost creative spark and write a new script that could restore his reputation.

His carefully controlled routine begins to shift when he develops a connection with Holly, one of his students and a single mother of two.
