Plot Summary

The Revenant (2016) follows Hugh Glass, a seasoned frontiersman working for a fur trading company that survives by hunting animals in the harsh American wilderness. Operating in territories claimed by hostile Native American tribes and rival French forces, the group constantly faces danger far beyond the brutality of nature itself.

During a hunting expedition, Glass is brutally mauled by a grizzly bear and left critically wounded. Believing that slowing down would endanger the entire team, his companions abandon him to die alone in the frozen wilds.
