The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (1967)

Official Trailer

Plot Summary

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly unfolds against the brutal backdrop of the American Civil War, as an enigmatic gunslinger (Clint Eastwood) drifts toward the western frontier. He has no home, no allies, and no loyalty beyond his own survival.

His solitary journey collides with that of two equally ruthless and independent outlaws: the calculating Tuco (Eli Wallach) and the cold-blooded Angel Eyes (Lee Van Cleef). Though driven by greed rather than trust, fate forces the three men into an uneasy alliance.

Each of them is chasing the same prize—stolen Confederate gold buried somewhere in a war-torn land. As shifting loyalties, betrayals, and violence define their path, the trio must navigate battles, prisons, and desolate landscapes shaped by chaos and death.

Ultimately, they come to realize that survival depends not only on speed or firepower, but on knowing exactly where to focus one’s attention. In a country consumed by war, staying alive becomes the greatest victory of all.
