Plot Summary

first-blood-1982, Vietnam veteran John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) loses control after being unjustly harassed by the sheriff of a small town. By the time it is discovered that he is a highly trained former Green Beret, the situation has already reached a point of no return. After Rambo kills a police officer, he escapes into the surrounding countryside, turning the quiet town into a battleground.

The authorities only realize how deadly this lone man can become when cornered after most of the armed personnel in the area are taken out. As the crisis spirals out of control, help is called in from Rambo’s former commander during the Vietnam War, Colonel Trautman (Richard Crenna). Trautman is the only person capable of both stopping Rambo and truly understanding him.
