Plot Summary

Click follows the life of Michael Newman (Adam Sandler), an incurable workaholic architect whose obsession with career advancement leaves little room for his family. Desperate to secure a long-awaited promotion, Michael constantly tries to impress his demanding boss, neglecting his wife (Kate Beckinsale) and children in the process.

His life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Morty (Christopher Walken), an eccentric store clerk who hands him a mysterious universal remote control. This device grants Michael the power to fast-forward through life’s tedious moments, mute uncomfortable situations, and even rewind or pause reality itself. What begins as a convenient shortcut quickly becomes an addictive escape.

As Michael increasingly skips over moments he deems insignificant, the remote begins to make choices for him, automatically fast-forwarding through large portions of his life. In his rush toward success, he unknowingly bypasses the very experiences that give life meaning. Gradually, Michael realizes that controlling time comes at a devastating emotional cost, forcing him to confront the consequences of the moments he chose not to live.
