Plot Summary

Black Snake Moan is a gritty Southern drama about two shattered people whose lives collide under brutal circumstances. Lazarus (Samuel Jackson), a deeply religious former blues musician devastated by betrayal, discovers Rae (Christina Ricci) abandoned, beaten, and nearly broken on the side of the road. Determined to save her from the chaos consuming her life, he brings her into his home, setting in motion an uneasy and emotionally charged bond.
