Plot Summary

When authorities investigate the explosion of a ship in San Pedro, they uncover 27 bodies and 91 million dollars in drug money. Only two survivors remain: a badly burned and terrified Hungarian criminal, and a small-time con artist and hitman named Verbal Kint (Kevin Spacey).

During an intense police interrogation, Kint recounts the events leading up to the massacre, beginning six weeks earlier. He describes how five hardened criminals were brought together, a hijacked truck, and the shadowy presence of a mysterious crime lord whose influence seems to control everything from behind the scenes.
