Plot Summary

The Legend of Tarzan reimagines the iconic jungle hero from a fresh, post-myth perspective, focusing on the man Tarzan has become rather than the legend he once was.

Once known as Tarzan, John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, has long since left the African jungle behind. Together with his beloved wife Jane, he has embraced a refined bourgeois life in England, far removed from the wild that shaped him.

His fragile peace is disrupted when he is invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary for Parliament. Unbeknownst to him, this diplomatic mission is a carefully constructed trap, orchestrated by the ruthless Belgian captain Léon Rom, whose motives are driven by greed and vengeance.

As Clayton steps once more onto African soil, he slowly realizes that he is merely a pawn in a far more dangerous game. The conspiracy unfolding around him threatens not only his own life, but also the fate of an entire land, forcing him to confront his past and reclaim the identity he believed he had left behind forever.
