Plot Summary

Sleepy Hollow follows Ichabod Crane (Johnny Depp), an eccentric and highly analytical constable from New York who prefers science and early forensic techniques over superstition. In the late 18th century, Crane is sent to the remote village of Sleepy Hollow to investigate a series of gruesome murders that have terrified the local community.

The victims have all been found decapitated, and the townspeople are convinced that the killer is none other than the legendary Headless Horseman, a ghostly rider said to haunt the surrounding woods. While the frightened villagers cling to folklore and fear, Crane remains determined to uncover a rational explanation behind the chilling crimes.

As he digs deeper into the mystery, however, the evidence begins to challenge his strict belief in logic and reason. Surrounded by dark forests, unsettling legends, and a growing number of victims, Crane must confront the possibility that the truth behind the murders may be far more supernatural than he ever imagined.
