Plot Summary

Passengers stars Jennifer Lawrence as Aurora and Chris Pratt as Jim, two passengers aboard a massive spacecraft transporting thousands of people to a distant colony planet. The journey is designed to last 120 years, with all passengers placed in hibernation for the duration of the voyage.

When a malfunction causes Aurora and Jim to awaken ninety years too early, they find themselves completely alone in the vast emptiness of space. With no way to return to hibernation, the two must adapt to a life they were never meant to live, surrounded by luxury amenities but cut off from the future they were promised.

As their bond deepens, the situation grows increasingly dire. A critical failure threatens the entire ship and the lives of thousands of sleeping passengers.
