Dracula (1897)

Official Trailer

Plot Summary

Bram Stoker’s Dracula tells the gothic tale of the seductive Prince of Transylvania, Dracula (Gary Oldman), who believes that his long-lost love Elisabeta has been reincarnated as Mina (Winona Ryder). Driven by centuries of grief and obsession, Dracula leaves the shadows of Eastern Europe and embarks on a perilous journey to 19th century London, determined to reclaim the woman he has waited lifetimes to find.

As his path crosses with Mina and those around her, Dracula reveals himself as a being of many forms and contradictions. Throughout the film, he transforms repeatedly—from a frail old man to a charismatic young aristocrat, and from a seductive lover to a nightmarish demon—each shape reflecting a different aspect of his cursed existence.

This journey is not merely physical but deeply emotional and spiritual. Dracula’s pursuit of Mina blurs the boundaries between love and damnation, desire and destruction, forcing her to confront a powerful connection that transcends time, morality, and mortality.

Blending romantic tragedy with horror and myth, Bram Stoker’s Dracula reimagines the legendary vampire as both monster and tragic lover, presenting a visually rich and emotionally charged exploration of eternal love, loss, and the price of immortality.
