Story Overview

Once a selfish and arrogant prince is cursed by a mysterious enchantress and transformed into a terrifying Beast, he is condemned to live hidden away in his enchanted castle. Along with him, the castle’s servants are also cursed, turned into living household objects. The spell carries a dire condition: if the Beast fails to earn genuine love within ten years, he will remain a monster forever.

The quiet isolation of the castle is broken when an elderly man named Maurice wanders inside by accident. The Beast imprisons him, but Maurice’s brave and compassionate daughter Belle soon arrives and offers to take her father’s place. Accepting captivity in the castle, Belle gradually forms friendships with the enchanted servants and begins to see beyond the Beast’s frightening appearance.

As time passes, Belle discovers the kindness, vulnerability, and humanity hidden beneath the Beast’s exterior. Their bond slowly deepens into something far more meaningful. Meanwhile, Gaston, a vain and ruthless hunter obsessed with Belle, becomes determined to destroy the Beast and claim Belle for himself—no matter the cost.

This 2017 live-action adaptation of Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont’s classic fairy tale brings the timeless story to life with lavish visuals, musical grandeur, and emotional depth, starring Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as the Beast.
