Plot Summary

Set in the late 1800's in Arizona, notorious outlaw Ben Wade (Russell Crowe) and his ruthless gang of thieves and killers prey on the Southern Railroad, spreading fear across the territory. When Wade is finally captured, a dangerous mission emerges that will test courage, morality, and endurance.

Dan Evans (Christian Bale), a battle-hardened Civil War veteran now struggling to keep his drought-ravaged farm alive, volunteers to escort the captured criminal to the 3:10 train to Yuma, where Wade must be delivered alive to stand trial. What begins as a paid duty soon turns into a life-or-death journey.

Despite coming from vastly different worlds, Evans and Wade develop a complex, uneasy respect for one another. Yet with Wade’s gang relentlessly pursuing them and danger lurking at every turn, the journey becomes a brutal and nearly impossible confrontation with fate, honor, and sacrifice.
