Lando Norris is a professional racing driver who competes in Formula 1 under the British flag and currently races for the McLaren team.

Lando Norris was born on November 13, 1999, in Bristol, United Kingdom, as the son of Adam Norris and Cisca Wauman. He has siblings named Cisca Norris, Oliver Norris, and Flo Norris. With a Belgian mother, Norris holds both British and Belgian citizenship and speaks a small amount of Flemish Dutch. He graduated from Millfield School in Somerset, England.

During his early childhood, Lando Norris experimented with horse riding, followed by ATV and motorcycle riding. His interest in motorsport deepened when his father took him to watch the British National Karting Championship at the age of seven, after which he began karting.

Following a highly successful karting career, Norris reached the pinnacle in 2014 by winning the direct-drive Karting World Championship. He then transitioned to junior formula racing. In 2015, he won the MSA Formula Championship, and in 2016 he claimed titles in the Toyota Racing Series, Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, and the Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup. In the same year, he also received the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award.

In 2017, Lando Norris joined the McLaren Young Driver Programme and won the FIA Formula 3 European Championship with Carlin Motorsport. He was promoted to Formula 2 in 2018 with Carlin, finishing the season as runner-up behind George Russell.

Lando Norris won the Formula 3 European Championship in 2017 and became a McLaren driver in 2018 alongside Carlos Sainz.

Since the 2019 Australian Grand Prix, Lando Norris has competed as a McLaren-Mercedes driver. In 2021, he achieved a historic milestone by scoring points in 15 consecutive races, becoming the only driver in McLaren history to accomplish this feat.

At the 2021 Russian Grand Prix, Lando Norris secured the first pole position of his Formula 1 career.

Between August 2021 and September 2022, Lando Norris was in a relationship with Portuguese model Luisa Oliveira.

After making his Formula 1 debut at the 2019 Australian Grand Prix, Lando Norris achieved his first career victory at the 2024 Miami Grand Prix. He later claimed first place at the 2024 Belgian Grand Prix on July 28, 2024.

On September 22, 2024, Lando Norris also won the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix, further cementing his status among Formula 1’s elite drivers.
