Story Overview

In the year 2029, fearless astronaut Leo Davidson (Mark Wahlberg) crash-lands on a mysterious planet during a deep-space mission. At first glance, the world resembles Earth’s untamed wilderness—but Leo soon uncovers a shocking truth about its social order.

The planet is ruled by an advanced and oppressive race of apes, while humans are enslaved, voiceless, and forced to live primitive lives under their dominance. As Leo navigates this hostile environment, he becomes increasingly aware of the brutal hierarchy enforced by his simian captors.

Refusing to accept humanity’s fate, Leo allies himself with a group of rebellious humans and sparks a dangerous uprising against the apes’ absolute power. Planet of the Apes is a science-fiction action spectacle that explores themes of control, identity, and rebellion, building toward a dramatic confrontation that challenges everything Leo believes about evolution and destiny.
