Plot Summary

After first appearing on screen in 1932, The Mummy stories earned a lasting place in cinema and returned after a long break in 1999 under the direction of Stephen Sommers. Years later, Universal Studios revived the original film with a reboot, choosing Andrés Muschietti as director and Billy Ray and Jon Spaiths as screenwriters.

Buried for centuries beneath a forgotten desert, an ancient tomb is discovered and opened during a military operation, awakening the spirit of an ancient queen whose life was taken too soon.
