Plot Summary

A massive creature believed to be extinct emerges from the deepest reaches of the Pacific Ocean, attacking a deep-sea submersible crew working as part of an international research program. The prehistoric predator is none other than the Megalodon, a colossal 22-meter-long shark whose sudden appearance turns a scientific mission into a fight for survival.

As time rapidly runs out for the trapped crew, rescue diver Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) is reluctantly recruited by renowned Chinese marine scientist Dr. Minway Zhang (Winston Chao).
