See (2019)

Official Trailer

Plot Summary

See is set in a distant future where humanity has almost entirely lost the ability to see. In this radically transformed world, society has been forced to reinvent itself, developing new belief systems, survival methods, and social structures in order to endure without sight. Vision has become a myth, remembered only through stories passed down from earlier generations.

The fragile balance of this blind civilization is shattered when twin babies are born with the ability to see. Their existence is perceived as both a miracle and a threat, capable of overturning the foundations upon which the new world is built. As fear and power struggles intensify, the children become the center of a deadly conflict that could change humanity’s fate forever.

The series stars Jason Momoa, widely recognized for his portrayal of Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, in the role of Baba Voss—a fearless warrior and adoptive father willing to challenge the world itself to protect his family. Baba Voss emerges as a symbol of resistance, strength, and unconditional loyalty in a society ruled by darkness.

See is written by Steven Knight, the creator of Peaky Blinders, and developed in collaboration with Francis Lawrence, who directed the final three films of The Hunger Games] series. Blending dystopian science fiction with mythic storytelling, the series explores themes of power, faith, survival, and what it truly means to “see” in a world without vision.
