Plot Summary

In King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, young Arthur (Charlie Hunnam) grows up on the harsh streets of Londinium after his father, King Uther Pendragon (Eric Bana), and his mother, Queen Igraine, are brutally murdered by the power-hungry tyrant Vortigern (Jude Law), who seizes the throne. Stripped of his royal identity and unaware of his true origins, Arthur survives through grit, instinct, and streetwise cunning.

Arthur’s fate changes forever when he pulls the legendary sword Excalibur from the stone. Confronted with the immense and unfamiliar power of the weapon, he must decide whether to embrace the destiny he never sought. As the sword begins to guide him, Arthur struggles to understand its force while facing the shadows of his forgotten past.

With the help of a mysterious young woman named Guinevere (Astrid Bergès-Frisbey), Arthur learns to control Excalibur’s power, confront his inner demons, and rally those oppressed by Vortigern’s ruthless reign. Determined to overthrow the man who destroyed his family, Arthur sets out on a perilous journey to reclaim his birthright, challenge tyranny, and rise as the king he was always meant to be.
