Story Overview

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs continues the prehistoric adventures of a group of unlikely friends as their world expands far beyond the frozen landscapes they once knew. Mammoth couple Manny (Ray Romano) and Ellie (Queen Latifah) are expecting their first child, bringing excitement—and anxiety—to their herd. Manny becomes overly protective as he prepares for fatherhood, while their friends try to adapt to the changing family dynamic.

Meanwhile, the ever-scheming saber-toothed squirrel Scrat continues his relentless pursuit of the elusive acorn. His obsession leads him to encounter Scratte (Karen Disher), a female squirrel who shares his passion for acorns but complicates his mission with unexpected romance.

The real trouble begins when Sid (John Leguizamo) discovers a mysterious underground world and impulsively adopts three eggs he believes to be abandoned. When the eggs hatch, however, they turn out to belong to baby dinosaurs. Their furious mother soon arrives and carries Sid away into a hidden jungle-like world beneath the ice—an entire ecosystem where dinosaurs have survived.

Determined to rescue their friend, Manny, Ellie, Diego (Denis Leary), and the others venture into this dangerous subterranean realm. There they meet the eccentric one-eyed weasel Buck (Simon Pegg), a fearless adventurer who has spent years battling dinosaurs in the wild underground world.

Together, the group must navigate a land filled with towering predators, treacherous landscapes, and unexpected friendships. As they face these challenges, the herd discovers that family can grow in the most unexpected ways, and loyalty can survive even the most prehistoric dangers.
