Plot Summary

In Hitch, Alex “Hitch” Hitchens (Will Smith) is New York City’s most sought-after “date doctor,” a discreet consultant who coaches men on how to win over the women of their dreams. Operating under a strict philosophy that a man has only three dates to make a lasting impression, Hitch has built a legendary reputation for transforming awkward romantics into confident suitors. Despite his professional success, however, his own love life remains carefully guarded, shaped by a painful heartbreak from his college years that left him wary of genuine emotional commitment.

When mild-mannered accountant Albert Brennaman (Kevin James) falls hopelessly in love with glamorous celebrity Allegra Cole (Amber Valletta), he turns to Hitch for guidance.
