Plot Summary

Donnie Brasco is set in the 1970s and tells the true story of how FBI agent Joe Pistone successfully infiltrated and helped dismantle the American Mafia.

Undercover agent Joe Pistone (Johnny Depp) assumes the identity of a small-time jewel thief named Donnie Brasco and spends six years living a double life within the criminal underworld. As his cover deepens, Pistone slowly gains the trust of powerful mob figures, immersing himself in a world ruled by loyalty, violence, and paranoia.
