Boarding Gate (2007)
Official Trailer
Plot Summary
Set against the restless backdrop of London, Boarding Gate follows Sandra (Asia Argento), an Italian expatriate caught in a dangerous web of desire, money, and manipulation. Living on the edge of emotional and financial instability, Sandra maintains a volatile relationship with a wealthy former lover whose power extends far beyond intimacy.
At the same time, she becomes involved with a professional hitman tasked with murdering this very man. What initially appears to be a reckless love triangle gradually reveals itself as something far more calculated and sinister. Sandra soon realizes that the assassin’s wife is not a passive figure in the shadows, but the true architect controlling every move from behind the scenes.
As alliances shift and motives blur, Boarding Gate unfolds as a cold, minimalist thriller where sexuality, violence, and capitalism intersect. The film explores themes of exploitation, emotional dependency, and power dynamics in a globalized world, maintaining an atmosphere of constant unease as Sandra drifts toward an inescapable fate.
