Plot Summary

Be Kind, Rewind centers on Jerry (Jack Black), a junkyard worker plagued by persistent headaches that he believes are caused by a nearby power plant. Acting on this belief, Jerry attempts to sabotage the facility, only to be accidentally magnetized in the process. Unaware of his new condition, he soon discovers its consequences when his best friend Mike (Mos Def) realizes that all the VHS tapes in his struggling video rental store have been mysteriously erased.

Faced with the imminent collapse of the shop and pressure from loyal customers, Jerry comes up with a wildly unconventional solution: remaking the erased films themselves. Using makeshift props, amateur performances, and boundless enthusiasm, Jerry and Mike begin recreating iconic movies shot-for-shot in their own low-budget, homemade style.

What starts as a desperate attempt to save a failing business unexpectedly turns into a local phenomenon.
