Mark Elliot Zuckerberg was born on May 14, 1984, in White Plains, New York, United States, as the only son of a dentist father named Edward Zuckerberg and a psychiatrist mother named Karen Zuckerberg. He is a computer programmer and a businessman active in the internet industry. He is the founder and chairman of Facebook.

He wrote his first computer program at the age of ten. During high school, he won numerous awards in various scientific fields. With his outstanding academic performance, Mark Elliot Zuckerberg was admitted to Harvard University. In his first year at the university, he created a website called facemash.com, where the most attractive male and female students at Harvard were voted on. The site included photos of all Harvard students, which required him to access the university’s database.
