Plot Summary

Set in 1881, at a time when the line between friend and enemy is dangerously blurred, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford centers on the final months of legendary outlaw Jesse James (Brad Pitt). At thirty-four years old, James is still orchestrating daring robberies while simultaneously waging a psychological war against those seeking to capture or kill him for reward money.

Paranoia and mistrust dominate Jesse James’s inner circle, as fear slowly replaces loyalty.
